Lisa Higgins, MA, LMFT

You always thought that when you got to this point in life, you would finally feel settled and content. Yet, here you are feeling somewhat dissatisfied, overwhelmed and disconnected from yourself. This is a common response to arriving at mid-life and when left unaddressed symptoms of anxiety and depression can occur. Let me tell you how I can help.

My name is Lisa Higgins, and I am a trained Couple and Family Therapist. I specialize in strengthening relationships for Individuals, Couples, and Families. I have a keen ability to identify and reduce stress and anxiety for all types of caregivers, professional healers, and those responsible for employee health and happiness. In addition to my role as a Therapist, my prior career in Human Resources helps provides the bridge to understanding employer/employee relations and managing workplace stress.

In our work together, we will collaborate to create a vision of what you really want, achievable goals and a plan to gain those goals. I will help you identify the relationship patterns (family, friends, work) in your life that you’ve held on to and that are causing stagnation. My role is to support and empower you in this process. I will utilize various therapeutic techniques and my training as a Couple and Family Therapist will broaden the context in which these problems were created, identify your already existing strengths, and engage your support system.

I am so excited that you have decided to focus on making positive changes and welcome the opportunity to guide you through your own journey. And yes, change can be hard but I will be your guide! You don’t have to keep wondering why you can’t find joy in all that you have. Our work will help you cultivate and experience all that you are looking for. Please complete the consultation request form or email me today so I can learn more about your goals for therapy!
